How active are you on server: I'm new but I've been on everyday since I've joined

When are you most active with your timezone: All day everyday.

Do you have a Microphone and Teamspeak: Indeed I do

Have you had any previous experience with Fleet rp: On the server? This character is new. In other servers? I've roleplayed a Communications and Weapons Officer for a NS:Status RP. In which I was the acting Officer for the weapons systems of the deep space ship for over five months.

Provide an RP example of how a TAC fighter would react during space combat and or during ground combat:

Cdt. Jake Gearheart Would proceed to quickly rush towards the F-76 Thunderbolt, nearly sprinting up the ladder used to climb the side of the Fighter. Climbing into the cockpit of the fighter he'd proceed to start to strap himself into the seat, taking small moments to lean out the side of the Fighter to check on the maintenance crew preparing the ship making sure they'd be ready for his take off. Pulling the canopy lever and allowing the top latch to shut. Giving the inside of the shuttle to pressurize as he'd activate his long range transmitter and contact the control tower running through his flight code "Stalker 2-1 To Tower, 2-1 Ready for flight.". Waiting a few moments to get the normal response “Tower To Stalker 21, Greenlight, Greenlight, Greenlight.”. Smiling to himself, the Pilot would stick a thumbs up to the window signalling the maintenance crew that he was ready, giving a few moments for the crew to clear the area. He’d slowly push the throttle forward, quickly taking off out of the hanger and pulling into formation with Stalker 2-2 and Stalker 2-3 as they’d all dip right and start to head towards the planet.

Provide an RP example of a dropship pilot, on ship or during a deployment:

Cdt. Jake Gearheart would grip the joystick to the Dropship tightly, quickly gliding left and right attempting to avoid the bright blue plasma balls being fired into the sky from the arachnids on the ground acting as Anti-Air. Pushing a view color coded buttons on his display as he’d line the dropship up with the LZ. Turning on the ship’s communications as he’d announce the MIs in the back of his dropship “ETA 30 Seconds! Prep for deployment!”. As the Pilot would pull the nose up upon reaching the landing zone bringing the Dropship into a hover, allowing the landing gear to slowly kiss the ground. He’d quickly flick two switches on his overhead display, a loud “BUZZ” coming from the back with a flashing green light as the back transport door would drop down allowing the Infantry in the back to charge out. Waiting a few moments for them to get into a clear position before pulling back on the joystick and pushing the throttle forward, dusting off.

Current Rank: Cadet

Previous/Current Vessel (For Transfers): N/A

Brief history of your character: Born on Earth, Jake Gearheart was nothing but a Federal Civilian, after spending his time rather bored on the home planet. It was after the hit of the asteroid Brazil, Jake was motivated to join up to support the war...Graduating Early, Jake head off to join the service. First heading into the Mobile Infantry he didn’t last two days in their PT Courses. After getting chewed out by his Drill Instructor and Base Commander, instead of being kicked out, they requested he take a Fleet Entry Test on a whim. After scoring a 98% on the Exam he was formally transferred over into the Fleet. Set at the rank of Cadet, his dream is while not being able to become an MI, he still wishes to support them by becoming a TAC and or Dropship Pilot he applies for a TAC Pilot Position.

Brief History of military service: After briefly failing the MI PT Test, Jake was gave a Fleet Entry Exam on a whim, after scoring a 98%, he was transferred into the TF Fleet, acting as a Cadet. He performed various task on the Ulysses Grant, till reaching the rank of CM in which he placed a Flight Crew request in.

Commendations given: Federal Defense Medal, Joint Service Ribbon

Notable remarks from your higher ups: None

Why do you wish to become a pilot?: To serve and support the Federation till my last breath, I seek to aid the Mobile Infantry on the ground and also serve the Federal Fleet proudly. It is my personal goal to use my abilities to the best they can provide and I strongly believe that’s by serving as a Pilot for the Federation.

What qualifications do you have that would make you suitable for this position?: My loyalty to the federation, my trained focus and my knowledge in the Federation’s Fleet, with careful training and extensive simulation I believe I have and will grow to be a rather well equipped and trained pilot for the position.

If you were to sign up, which position would you like to start your training in? TAC or DROPSHIPS? And provide a reason why: I wish to request TAC as I wish to aid in tactical strikes on the ground or in the air, but If TAC must be restricted from me I am perfectly capable in becoming a Dropship Pilot. I seek to become a TAC member to act a defender and first hand striker against our foes of the Federation.

::Note:: TAC is usually reserved for people who’ve shown that they are capable pilots, both on and off ship ::

Provide an RP example of how a TAC fighter would react during space combat and or during ground combat:

In both roles I consider that a TAC fighter is supportive. The role of fighters within starship combat I mostly consider most equivalent in the server one of my favourite shows. The Ulysses and her crew would be doing the majority of fleet combat, the important thing for a TAC fighter in the server environment is to scramble to a ship and work with the engineers on-board at the soonest opportunities. Once you actually fly, for the most part I would consider it to be an event only tool.

For ground combat, or mission events in the server, the role of a TAC fighter is to stay in the air and provide relief for the forces on the ground when commanded.

Provide an RP example of a dropship pilot, on ship or during a deployment:

The cadet turns to look at his engineers as they enter the hangar, still picking pieces of bug splatter and corroded metal plate off the black skin of the dropship. "What took you so fuckin' long sports?" The pilot gives a hand up to the engineers as they come in, most of them cackling as they see the damage to the bird from the last drop.

"She'd have less scratches on her if you just buried her cadet."

"Lap it up Kyril," The pilot flicks the man the bird, as he motions to the small squad come to assist him with repair-work. "The rear took some heated plasma on the way out, she felt a little sluggish as she came in." He leads the men around to the back of the dropship, the hangar door open, and the rear-trim partially singed. "Could we run an integrity check on the hydraulics of the back-door too? Don't want my men getting spaced hang-way on a descend." He walks up the gang-plank and collects a small satchel bag, "Happy to lend you guys a hand fixing her up. Show me where I can put these hands to work- that ain't tricky."

Previous/Current Vessel (For Transfers): AFC BC-946 'Lasgar'

Brief history of your character:

Born on Iskander to two citizens, she always aspired to become a great pilot. Once of age, she joined up with Fleet and started off as bridge crew before transferring to TAC.

With her ship's TAC wing being full, she asked to be transferred to a ship with available lsots.

Brief History of military service:

Served 2 years as bridge crew.

Commendations given:

Notable remarks from your higher ups:

Commendation from dropship instructor on good flying skills

Why do you wish to become a pilot?

She has always aspired to become a TAC pilot and her test scores show slightly above average scores for the tests regarding TAC pilots.

What qualifications do you have that would make you suitable for this position?

Somewhat natural pilot, 2 years Fleet experience.

If you were to sign up, which position would you like to start your training in? TAC or DROPSHIPS? And provide a reason why.

TAC, as she always wanted to fly TACs. More maneuverable, more fun, more exciting than a dropship, and she'd get to do things beyond just fly from A to B.

He sets his helmet on straight, looking around the cockpit of his fighter. He presses a button, talking. "ATC, callsign Shotbug sending pre-deployment checks. How copy?". Once he recieves the confirmation, he switches his main motors on, and reports once more. "Callsign Shotbug leaving base.". He takes off with the fighter, and starts to hover around the deployment AO. As he recieves the request for CAS, he lowers the nose of the fighter downwards. "Callsign Shotbug engaging on requested target." he says through the radio. He unloads the rotary guns on the fighter at the massive horde of bugs, and pulls up after his run is done. "Callsign Shotbug, waving off."

Provide an RP example of a dropship pilot, on ship or during a deployment: The pilot clicked on various buttons and switched different switches. He had his eye on the altimeter as he descended further down into the atmosphere. He pressed the button of the intercomm, announcing: "We will be touching down in twenty seconds. Assume positions." . He manuevered the dropship down towards the ground, shifting his gaze through the soil to find an appropiate landing zone. Slowly but surely, he lowered the bird down on the ground, and announced once more. "Touched down. Clear!" he said, as he opened the hatch of the dropship. Once the infantry unloaded, he closed to hatch and flew off once again, reporting on the radio: "Callsign Birdy, RTB to HOME. ETA, twenty minutes."

Why do you wish to become a pilot?

My father was a farmer and has flown a crop duster. When I was fifteen, I had the amazing chance of taking it for a ride, even it was for chores. I always remember that first time stepping into the cockpit of a plane. I've never felt such joy and more powerful before. Ever since, I wanted to get my citizenship through Federal Forces, and it was going to be through Fleet if I was getting it at all.

What qualifications do you have that would make you suitable for this position?

Without sounding pompous, I've the size to fit in a cockpit easily. Besides that, I've been told to have a keen eye on my surroundings, good reflexes and critical thinking. I was a jock in highschool, after all.

If you were to sign up, which position would you like to start your training in? TAC or DROPSHIPS? And provide a reason why.

TAC would be preferred, since my dream was to fly fast and be good at it. Aside from the "need for speed", I believe it would be most perfect for me to assist my fellow infantrymen down there, fighting the fight personally and ease their job from the skies.

Have you had any previous experience with Fleet rp: Argus Parrow flew TAC for a mission when no Fleet characters were available

Provide an RP example of how a TAC fighter would react during space combat and or during ground combat:

Ground Combat Scenario [Hardened position firing upon advancing allied forces]

Pilot Action: "Killbox-One to Bandicoot, I have eyes on indicated target. Over" The pilot flicks the switch arming his UBG-Paveway unguided bombs and corrects his course to make a run on the target. "Adjusting attack vector, entering approach corridor." The pilot avoids known AA sites and guides his TAC into the bombing approach. "Target acquired, and... ordinance away!" Dropping his paylad on the dortified position, the pilot pulls up and away from his original vector and moves to resume support pattern. "Killbox-One to Bandicoot, confirm effect on target? Over." The pilot then waits for the response, prepared to make a second run if necessary.

Space Combat Scenario [Engaged in dogfight with hostile space fighter]

Pilot Action: "This is Killbox-One, I've got a hostile fighter on my six! Taking evasive action, over!" The pilot bobs and weaves with his craft in an attempt to be as unpredictable as possible. Juking hard to avoid a purst of cannon fire, he veers towards the Grant in the hopes of picking up a wingman to get the bogey off his tail. The targeting computer blares a lock warning and the pilot is forced to yank hard on the stick and deploy decoy flares. Veering hard to port, he cranks down the engine to get better drift and allow the flares to paint a larger target than the signature of his thurusters. The missile sails past and explodes upon contact with a decoy. Ramming the throttle forward again, the Pilot zips past the grant kills the engine and rotates his craft to face backwards before the hostile craft can also round the Grant's hull. When the bogey zips around the Grant in pirsuit, the pilot slams on the thrusters to shoot past the target before engaging adjustment jets to turn him around. Now on the hostile's tail, the pilot pushes for a cannon lock. "Killbox-One, I got bogey zeroed. Guns, guns, guns!" Squeezing the trigger, the pilot fires his ship's cannons. A few tracers stitch the emptiness of space while he searches for the sweet spot, then the cannon fire finds its mark and the hostile craft's right rear thruster erupts into a fireball which is snuffed quickly by the lack of atmosphere. Catastrophic systems failures cascade through the hostile craft's structure until the munitions storage catches and the whole craft detonates in a massive blast. "Killbox-One, splash one fighter! Someone confrimt that kill! Over!"

Provide an RP example of a dropship pilot, on ship or during a deployment:

Dropship Pilot During Deployment Scenario [Dropship is on approach to extraction LZ]

Pilot Action: "This is Soapbox-One to Bandicoot, on approach to LZ. It looks like you've got arachnids on the move toward your position, Bandicoot. Be ready for a hot extraction, over!" The pilot approaches nice and easy to the landing zone, allowing time for the troopers to clear the area for a safe touchdown. Once landed, the pilot waits for the troopers to board but keeps the engines running. Upon the order to dust-off, the pilot cranks power to the thrusters and takes back to the sky with his bay full of troopers. Assuming there are wounded, the pilot makes haste back to the Grant.

Previous/Current Vessel (For Transfers): Ulysses S. Grant

Brief history of your character: Parrow was born to civillian parents, but always found the idea of soaring through air and space to be fascinating. Not long after graduating high school, Argus Parrow enrolled himself in the Federation Armed Forces and was placed in Fleet Academy as per his aptitudes--particular note paid to reflexes and situational awareness. Agter a fairly run-of-the-mill experience, Argus graduated from Fleet Academy qualified to pilot an array of small craft, but not to helm a full-sized service vessel. Showing promise as a TAC pilot from aptitudes and simulations, Argus was transfered to the Ulysses S. Grant to learn at the feed of experienced combat pilots. Directly after his transfer, Parrow was called into action without even enough time to drop his bags. The 112th mounted an offensive on a bug-held planet to establish a mining outpost required to supply desperatly needed resources. A lack of available TAC pilots forced Brass to make the executive decision to put Parrow in the cockpit and hope he worked it out.

Brief History of military service: Much to the fortune of the Mobile Infantry, Parrow lived up to expectation and demand. Over the course of the mission, Parrow provided close air-support and non-stop bombing runs to drop "Paveway" unguided ordinance and napalm on arachnid forces. Of particular note, Parrow managed to score a direct hit on an adult Royal with two napalm canisters flying a trench run between two mountains to avoid arachnid air response. The royal was killed almost instantly, and the retreating troopers were given the time they needed to set up their FOB.

Commendations given: Nothing official other than a recommendation for permanant TAC post

Notable remarks from your higher ups: Recommendation of permanant TAC post. (Xalaphos)

Why do you wish to become a pilot? To support my fellow soldiers from the skies. I was born with a particular set of skills that provided me strong reflexes and strong awareness of my surroundings. I believe they would best be employed in the cockpit of a TAC.

What qualifications do you have that would make you suitable for this position? Graduated from Fleet with 90% and above aptitudes and scored perfect on my TAC pilot quilifications.

If you were to sign up, which position would you like to start your training in? TAC or DROPSHIPS? And provide a reason why. TAC would be my preference given that I have already been behind the stick of the newest TAC model. I know how she handles, how she bites, and how she barks. If necessary, I would accept the opportunity to prove it.

::Note:: TAC is usually reserved for people who’ve shown that they are capable pilots, both on and off ship ::

Do you have a Microphone and Teamspeak: Yes.

Have you had any previous experience with Fleet rp: Yes.

Provide an RP example of how a TAC fighter would react during space combat and or during ground combat: "Rearmed and ready to engage, Ground Team." announces the pilot over the radio.

Approved,

Your character will start as an Officer Cadet (OCdt.) Report to LtCdr. Frank O'Connor
