Designated Marksman

Designated Marksmen are the high-accuracy infantrymen usually tasked with reconnaisance and dealing accurate damage at range.

They are equipped with either a standard Mark One Morita with a DMR kit consisting of a x8 Scope and a bipod or an alternative high-accuracy high-velocity dedicated DMR (CW2 G3A3) boasting better damage at the sacrifice of magazine size and significantly higher recoil.

If used and positioned correctly, Designated Marksmen can provide early warning of enemy units whilest effectively picking off units from afar, slowing their movements and reducing enemy morale significantly.

The Recon Branch in which Designated Marksmen are part of is currently the only branch in the Weapons Specialist Division with a member cap.

-Equipment-

Morita Mark One

DMR kit for Morita Mark One

DMR Alternative (optional)

Smoke grenades

Binoculars

Training consists of passing a Designated Marksman exam focused on reconnaisance and has a very real chance of failing. Failing a DMR exam is not final, one can reapply at a later date.

Ask your local Master-Specialist if DMR slots are available.

Ranks open for application: Private First Class and above unless under special circumstances.

Sniper

Snipers are the special snowflakes of the Recon branch.

Once a Designated Marksman has proven him/herself, they get to try out for Sniper if any slots are available.

They carry the powerful Morita X (currently CW2 L115), capable of engaging at virtually any range Troopers usually find themselves in with lethal accuracy and efficiency, sporting 50. cal rounds powerful enough to damage Marauders weakpoints even at long ranges.

They are trained to act on their own and must be able to make their own decisions without needing to ask Droplead for every movement they make. If a droplead has to worry about what the Sniper team is up to, they are doing it wrong.

Snipers utilize everything in the arsenal to make themselves as concealed as possible, ranging from ghillie on their BDUs and rifles to simple woodland facepaint.

-Equipment-

Morita X

Rangefinders

Ghillie Suit (optional)

Rifle Ghillie (optional)

Training consists of several Sniper exams in which the candidate -must- score above 80 points in each. Falling short in any of the exams means instant failure. One can reapply at a later date once a Master-Specialist deems them fit for retrial.

If you are a Designated Marksman, ask your Master-Specialist about Sniper trials.

CQC Specialist

CQC Specialists are, surprise, the ones who are specialized in close quarters combat.

They utilize training and special weaponry to have an upper hand when it comes to fighting up close and personal.

Fast, accurate and lethal, CQC specialists can breach rooms and buildings and have them clear in record time and with record precision.

Thanks to multiple sim trainings, they've extensively trained in various breaching scenarios, as well as hand to hand combat, giving them a significant edge when it comes to fighting the enemy face to face. Coupled with equipment like shotguns, flashbangs and grenades, there are few things more lethal to a garrisoned force than a set of CQC Specialists. (that doesn't cost a fortune to use at least)

-Equipment-

Shotgun

Flashbang

Smoke Grenade

Frag grenade

Knife

Morita Mk1 Carbine

Training consists of CQC Sims that focus both on various breaching scenarios as well as extensive hand-to-hand combat training.

Flamer

Flamers Specialists are the troopers who utilize the SW-226-F ‘Hel’ Infantry Flamer against non-human targets.

They keep the bugs at range, burning them alive and disorienting them with the intense hellish fire and can even suppress bug holes to some extent, depending on the bug hole. However, it's even more dangerous to friendlies than it is to the enemy. As such, Flamer Specialists' training include a heavy emphasis on avoiding friendly fire. If even a single mistake is made, it will result in the Flamer losing his Hel Flamer certification, and possibly even blacklisted from its usage entirely.

As the gel carries its own oxidizer, the Hel Flamer's flame can burn for up to five seconds even in a vacuum.

-Equipment-

SW-226-F ‘Hel’ Infantry Flamer

Peacemaker Sidearm

Mark One Morita Carbine

Training conists of Flamer usage training and sims focusing on avoiding friendly fire, along with examples of what happens if friendly fire does occur.

Ranks open for application: Specialist in QCQ Branch
