'CHITS'

A 'chit' is a notice on ones record that can result in either good-or-bad consequences while aboard the Grant.

There are three-levels of 'chits':

  • BLUE-CHIT
  • YELLOW-CHIT
  • RED-CHIT

A blue-chit is a notice of good-performance, such as doing ones duty exceptionally-well. This can result in promotions, awards and even medals as a template of your performance.

A yellow-chit is a minor-violation, such as talking back to an NCO, doings ones duties poorly -- Three yellow-chits is the equivalent to one red-chit.

A red-chit is a major-violation, such as amassing three yellow-chits, striking an NCO, outright disrespecting an NCO or even minor-accounts of insubordination. Those with red-chits will be reviewed by the Master Sergeant as there will be serious repercussions.
