RELATIONS
Innermost thoughts of Setu

"The United Citizen Federation's provided me with everything I've ever needed. If it wasn't for the Federation and its generosity in form of critical programs such as the Youth Corps, vulnerable young adults like myself would never have been able to rise above a life time of adversity to become productive members of society. The Federation is my home. Fellow citizens, my family. For that I'm grateful."

Spoiler

FEDERAL FLEET

Spoiler

|| Gareth Nyman -- The Captain of the Ship. There isn't exactly much to say on a person that I naturally expect to be a prime example of professionalism and military bearing. He delivers.

|| Jeremy Nash -- I might not have served with Commander Nash a long time but so far? He's a respectable man, one that I can more than relate to. While I may not have loved and lost in the same way, I can understand his situation and admire the man's resolve. To be able to push past personal hardships in order to uphold ones oath to the Federation.... that is a level of honour and integrity that all, citizens and civilians alike, should strive to have.

|| Roskana Nejem -- Intellectual and stubborn. Being under Nejem was refreshing, she's someone who understood my need for professionalism in the workplace. Does she have her problems? Naturally- she's not perfect but that's exactly what gets to me. She's like me in a way but not really, we're from two different worlds, cut from different cloth but manage to go well together- professionally. Drivas said I should give it a shot- I did...  I took too long, I didn't really project myself and it fell through but I definitely gave it a shot. Am I disappointed in the outcome? Do I feel stupid for trying? Naturally, yeah- but dwelling on negatives won't get me anywhere. Eat shit and wave. Just like you do dirtside, take that hard knock, get up and keep moving. If she's alright, I'm good.

|| Alvaro Lupinacci -- The guy stood tall on his own two feet through the single hardest serious of events most people hope to never experience. He didn't crack, he didn't complain. Lupinacci took a step up, crunched mud and brought that fucking heel down on some bugs- I might not like him but I can respect that level of resolve and adaptation in anybody.

MOBILE INFANTRY

Spoiler

|| Greg -- Private Brzęczyszczykiewicz- as... stupid as his name is- A respectable trooper in their own right. While I know that had I ever been his instructor I'd have pressed for him to quit, I'm glad he managed the cut. "Greg" is a prime example of dedication to the cause, even if his cause doesn't fully encompass the Federation's goals. Dedicated to his comrades, to the fight. That said- It's embarrassing to be beaten publicly, losing is still losing, I might respect him but that doesn't mean I like him.

|| Grace Corbin -- In a way- Corbin was a lucky one. Escaped a shitstorm before it brewed. I thought she'd've been someone to get herself killed but, that free spirit managed to save her life- If she didn't hang that is.

|| Aaron Holtz -- Having stood in his shoes, walked the miles and stomped the stomps, there's not much I don't get about him. I can relate to everything he feels. Wondering if your relationships on the edge- never knowing if you're really in a good spot. People looking to you for guidance at every point- even though you yourself don't know what to say but you find the resolve to eat the shit and look confident. Staff Sergeant Holtz's a good man with a good head but he takes on too much. He's no fresh face but he's still yet to  grip the fact that he doesn't need to be the first in line to sort out everyone's problems.

|| Ajax Drivas -- sD

|| Chuck Lewis -- I don't really know Lewis, I never saw him before the ship went down and I'm sure the guy's from a different battalion- motherfucker's a lucky one. Either way this guy's solid. He was scared but never broke, never complained and took post without a second thought. One helluva first drop.

|| James Reacher -- sD

|| Hecle Phan -- sD

|| Tatsuo Okazaki -- sD

|| Shane Emmett -- I never spoke to him much, when I did it was usually just me talking- No worries, I wasn't really a fan of poddies but he stuck through hard times just to get shit on by a power tripping MP. It's not right.

"-with that said. Don't be blinded by the promise of greatness. You'll live on knowing sacrifice. Things will be wrenched from you in the blink of an eye. Naturally that's the price we pay. In defence of our fellow citizens and the civilians that will come to depend on you. If you're not prepared to pay the ultimate price?- Ask yourself why you're here- Belay that- You just take that long walk right now and don't ever look back, because you have no place here."

-- Career Sergeant Setu during a mustering of MI hopefuls, circa 2297.

Where is Greg? You’d expect the man to be in there especially after such a big event today. I weep at this insult!
