  1. the f-35 has a vtol variant and in the 2298 vtol for spacecraft use is probably important or something
  2. Weapons Allowed for Engineers Due to the increased weight an engineer must carry, engineers may only use the weapons included on this list. Some infantry weapon specializations come with main gun and a carbine. Due to weight, an engineer will not be able to carry an extra carbine with their special weapon. Some weapons on the list are restricted by Mk1 Carbine Mk1 Rifle w/ grenade launcher (Munitions) Mk3 Rifle (Munitions) All pistols CD-25 Ventilator M55 (Munitions) Grenades Various munitions (Munitions) To stop any questions on "Why can I not have this gun?" the rest will be explained. Flamethrower - Inflexible, dangerous, not fitting with engineer doctrine Sawn-off Shotgun - No Basic Pump Action Shotgun - There are better options available Belcher - No longer in service WA 21 DMR - Doesn't fit with engineering equipment, leave sniping to the snipers Long Rifle - See above, even less flexible Morita X - See above 3GL - Not flexible, Mk3 rifle is better and more flexible Troglodyte 6GL - Heavy and inflexible Mk3 SAW - Heavy, long, not fitting with engineering doctrine MMG - Very heavy, not flexible, we have twin fifties for that role New weapons will be added to the list as they come out. If you use these specialist weapons that are not allowed or pair up multiple weapons at once I will feel bad for your spine. Any issues talk to Cortez -Cortez

  10. Engi Apps are still open New stipulation: Character must have the heights of: 5'8" -- 6'4" for males 5'10" -- 6'2" for females This is due to the increased weight an engineer must carry. All shorter engineers will be grandfathered in. Accepted, if still interested.
  11. All engineers must have the techs they are trained and certified at the START of their description. [SAP] for sapper [MUN] for munitions [SYS] for Systems [MEC] for MEC
  12. guys cmon you cant keep killing ur pc's it isnt that hard to not break them
  13. I think another problem may be the font itself. It seems too thick. In a way the console is easier to read because the letters are thin enough that they look larger than they are. Infact, the steam chat font and font size is perfect. It has to be, since I read it every day. This looks pretty good And this, while fairly small, also works well but I would not want to look at it all day in rp Compare these to this
  14. Please xal add a 'medium large' font size Large is too large and I can only see about 3 radio messages Medium is too small and is hard to read. I do not think my eyesight will be good for it. This is large This is medium and this is small I am not sure who small text is designed for. This is a comparison of all three text sizes I believe a text size between LARGE and MEDIUM would be ideal. Another issue is that I cannot easily scroll up the radio chat, making the tiny radio box even more of a problem. Sometimes it will not scroll and I have to click on a very small scroll bar bit to go up. I understand if this is not possible but I do not want my eyesight to suffer nor anyone else's. If this is due to my monitor size (1600x900) please tell me.
  15. You will be considered, however restructuring is still incomplete. I will get back to you when it is done. -Cortez

    Lee Ving

Face claim, voice claim, theme song, combat theme Lee Ving is a man of above average height, medium build. He isn't actually asian. Stats: Pretty high, he's a pathfinder and all Morale: Pretty high, he's a pathfinder and all Coolness: Far higher than yours Back story: Lee Ving was a private first class in the 1190th infantry, formed mostly out of Terran survivors. Life was pretty good in the 1190th, he got to shoot bugs, drink beer, and chill with his friends. Shootin' the shit and also bugs was their favorite pastime. Sure, Terra is a wreck and they had just gotten out of a civil war, but what's a private supposed to do about that? On L-14-92, also known as Nigalon II, his battalion had to defend a fledgling colony from bug attack. Usual day in the MI he thought, but the bugs here we smarter than command thought and they were quickly surrounded. The 1190th dug in and lasted for a few days but the relentless arachnid attack took it's toll and eventually the battalion cracked. His platoon was split apart from the rest of the battalion as the 1190th were slaughtered to a man. His own platoon had a lucky break and were able to fight through back to the colony through waves of bugs and plasma artillery. Most of them died, only about 8 people survived out of the whole battalion. Most of Lee's friends died, but he didn't let it get to him. 'S war, ya know, he can always make new friends. After a recuperation period due to the minor wounds he sustained in the bloody battle, Lee Ving was returned to the front, put into the 112th. Unfortunately, an error in the reassignment system caused his rank to be reset, so he was left as a recruit in a strange new infantry group. Strange in that everyone was rather boring and had no humor. He didn't have to wait long, though, as his first mission with the 112th happened mere hours after his arrival. Captain Ontos Dresden, a pathfinder captain, sent the MI down to the planet of died on isis or whatever, Lee Ving wasn't really concerned with the details. It was a pretty boring desert shithole they landed on but at least they were at a fort. He found some old beer but he knew that old beer is basically death so he skipped out on it. Drop leadership wasn't really to his liking, given that they were female. He recalled one girl in his unit that turned him down, but she got eaten by bugs so it was alright. Or maybe it was because this drop lead forgot what they were down there to do, which was to hold and fortify a fort. Somehow Lee Ving remembered, which isn't really too good if he is the voice of reason. Unfortunately for Lee Ving, as a recruit he got the bitchwork so he had to help some empty headed engineer set up prefabs. The engineer didn't really seem to understand how supplies worked so while Lee Ving made a sensible spaced out wall the engineer made a constant line of the prefabs. Lee Ving had the bright idea of creating a second defensive line to fall back to, around the landing pad. After all, if they got fucked he knew that you need a quick way out. The engineer said that they were going to do that the whole time, but at the rate they used up the prefabs there wouldn't be any left, so Lee Ving did his duty and built the second line himself. They did run out of prefabs and it was of course Lee Ving's idea to cut up the crates they got to build more. The engineer said they also had this idea but it took them about 10 minutes to actually figure out how to do it so it was obvious that they were an idiot. He didn't let it get to him though, he had other things to do. He showed a cool warrant officer how to eat rice and beans correctly, by turning the paper plate into a taco and swoocing it all into his mouth. A different engineer that was there also tried it, but being a dumb woman she poured it all over her chest. Lee Ving wasn't really into it, but the engi also brought beers and the food so he didn't really complain. He had a beer or two with his new Warrant Officer friend. He even gave the WO some of his coffee from his personal coffee pot. It was his pot but he made some coffee in a coffee machine some marauder found in the base. There wasn't a pot but like any good soldier, Lee Ving was prepared. The fort was, all in all, boring and not what he wanted, given that everyone there was pretty much useless. Some psychic, he was pretty sure, maybe he's psychic, was a completely humorless loser. He told a funny joke and she just said "yes recruit" like she was somehow above it all or in anyway important enough to be aloof. Typical, he thought. Onto the mission, eventually they got called off the fort to go deal with some plasma bugs. Some action, Lee Ving thought. After landing they were attacked by bugs in the fog, but it wasn't really fog it was just dust. Either way, they got cut down pretty effectively. The closer they got though the more bogged down the infantry got. Not Lee Ving, however! Him and some pretty cool marauder, he never learned their name, pretty much pushed up ahead every time, obliterating the bugs where ever they came. One interesting bit was when the dumb engineer from earlier couldn't figure out that he had to shoot the m55 to kill the plasma bugs. Lee Ving decided to leave it to him to shoot the bugs though, he wasn't gunna bother with the rocket launcher. Eventually they did infact kill all the bugs, they being Lee Ving and the one good marauder in the entire mobile infantry. The rest of them basically watched as their job got done for them. Eventually they got picked up and went to debrief. There the captain from before, Otho Dresden or whatever, said whatever he said. Then he said "Lee Ving, you'll be Lee-ving with me." Since Lee Ving did such a good job he probably assumed he was gunna become a pathfinder that day. He was right, of course, Lee Ving is always right. The training was tough and fairly painful but he was forged from a good trooper into a good pathfinder, which isn't much of a jump aside from the martial arts and strength training and authorization and all the other stuff they don't tell you. Lee Ving thought it was alright, he'd do it again. After that he waited for his first assignment hoping that it wouldn't be as boring as the last mission he had, but unfortunately it brought him right back to bores-ville, with the 112th. See, the Sky Marshall got hit and was interned in the Useless Grant for medical treatment. His job was to guard the door. It wasn't actually that bad, since he was basically with all his friends. Dozens of pathfinders, actually. He even told a really funny joke that made the pathfinder captain that recruited him laugh. It was one of those long jokes, but it was pretty good once the captain got the meaning of it. Lee Ving's just waiting for his next assignment, hopefully this time he gets to kill some shit. Until then he'll just be training and keeping up to spec. 'S just war, why not have some fun? Relationships He doesn't know any of you but you can ask, I guess.
