What is your backstory that would make you believe that your character was a Psychic? OR Why would the Federation believe you were a Psychic as a child?:
Jayden Webb was a normal kid. He was athletic but had a knack for trying to figure things out. He often looked at things from a different view than most kids, often saying. “Well, why don’t we do this?”. And he did this often throughout his childhood, and despite not being the smartest kid in his grade he always managed to pull through with A’s and B’s. Though early on in his life he was found out to be psychic and this was noted down for later if he chose to enlist. and though this seemed to complicate matters for his parents, the Dr’s made them agree to it due to the benefits offered to them.. It was only later on his life, about his 2nd year in Highschool he figured out what it meant to be psychic. Yet, after graduating two years later he went on to go to college, which only lasted for about 2 years until he needed money for it. And thus, he joined up with the Mobile Infantry. And the Doctors during his physical took a look at his record, saw he was psychic, and pushed him on in for training. Both Mentally and Physically. He was then stationed in the front lines of the Civl War in the Coalition Forces..
Write out a situation in which you would have to use one of your abilities.:
Situation: The MI are trying to find a lost platoon in some war-torn city. And they’ve tracked their last known location down to a desolate FOB where they were once stationed, and the drop lead has just called me over to see the last moments of this recently deceased trooper, in hopes to find some sort of direction to go next in order to the find the platoon.
Well, in this situation I would, of course, kneel down and put my hand on the man, somewhere where he has exposed skin. And a /me of this should look like;
**3Spc. Jayden Webb knelt down next to the bloodied corpse, he reached down and placed the palm of his hand on the man's cheek. Closing his eyes in the process.
After that, I would go about asking the admin what the man saw, what happened, etc. I will actively figure out what happened, what I saw, etc. And during this, I would roleplay out my psychic having facial expression changes, etc. A /me of that could look like;
**3Spc. Jayden Webb ‘s face seems to twist in an odd fashion, almost as if he’s distraught. Blood starts to slowly trickle out of his nose, yet he kept his eyes shut.
I would then start to cut the /mental link/ between me and the dead body, roleplaying this out properly. A /me of that could look like;
**3Spc. Jayden Webb slowly lifts his hand off of the man’s cheek, he stands up slowly, shivering slightly with a distraught look on his face. He dabs his nose with a rather worn out looking cloth as he turned to face the drop lead. [SPEAKS HERE]
And from there I will relay the information from the event admin to the Drop Lead, possibly giving them an idea of where to go next in the event. But I would still have my character react, as he should have some sort of mental strain after being in the eyes of someone dying. He may seem jumpy, hurt, etc, throughout the event.
[And of course, I would do stuff like /roll and so on, depending on the event admin. As at times I have to roll, while other times I don't have too. It's a lil' weird.]
A full written scenario can look like;
**As the troopers make their way down the barren and dilapidated street, they come across what looks to be an old FOB. On the side of the FOB is a sign stating "Platoon A, Grills Growlers." The drop lead motions for their platoon to enter the fob, and upon entering they can see that it looks to be ransacked, guns and such sit on the ground alongside other misc’ items. The platoon fans out and starts to search the compound until the DL comes across a recently deceased trooper. He radios in for the psychic, 3Spc. Jayden Webb, to come over and check it out. The psychic eventually arrives and knelt down next to the body, he promptly slid his carbine to the side and placed the palm of his hand on the corpses cheek, closing his eyes. Webb will then get flooded with emotions, visuals, etc that the man faced. His face showing it all, his face changes from distraught, too afraid, to sadness and etc. He saw where the platoon ran off too, and what happened to them, and so on. This goes on for a couple of minutes until he finally comes back and lifts his hand off the cheek. The psychic then turned around and looked at the drop lead, stating that the platoon ran from this FOB heading north-west, with arachnids on their tail. And so, the DL forms up the platoon and heads off north-west.
