Gonzalez: I don't know Tech Sergeant Gonzalez too well, but he is the one who handed me the application for the Engineers, so I guess I can thank him that I am here. He seems like a nice guy, I hope to make him proud!
Redbrick: Red was the one who gave me the tour of the Grant my first day here. Who'd guess I'd join up in Engineers with her. She seems friendly enough, and I think we will get along. But she looks constantly sad, probably something to do with the marauders. I hope I can make her feel better and part of a family again.
Ashley "Rose": Ashley's the one who trained me for Engineers! She seems nice enough, and I like her accent. I promise to make her proud! I don't know what happened, but she got kicked out and dropped to Recruit. I'm a bit worried, and I want to help her if possible.

Lt. Young: I don't know 2Lt. Young too well, but I talked to him a bit. He gave a quick speech to me about our Engineers being the best. I bet he is right, I hope to make him proud and make sure we stay the best.
Warnick: Warnick was trained more or less the same day as me. I haven't talked to him too much.

First day, first drop

It's my first day upon the Grant, one of our finest ships, or so I'm told. Almost as soon as I boarded I was given the grand tour. The ship is so much bigger than I thought, and definitely bigger than the ships Pop used to tell me about. After our tour I put all my stuff away, and while doing so realized I forgot my camera! I was pretty sad, but I know it will be okay. Later I was exploring the technical deck and trying to learn about the sub divisions. Medics seemed pretty cool, and I do like helping people a lot. Engineering immediately got my attention for several reasons. Firstly, my dad used to be an engineer, and I know he would be so proud of me if I became one. Secondly the woman who gave us a tour was one, so that's a friendly face I know. Lastly, as I was inquiring about what the Engineers do, just in case there was stuff I didn't know, the Tech Sergeant handed me an application and told me to fill it out. Well I did! We will see what happens! Later: Wooo! I got accepted! Dad is going to be so proud of me! I mustn't get too ahead of my self, calm down Johnny. I was awoken by the call to the briefing room, where we were told we were going on a mission. I don't remember the details too much, I was still groggy. Anyways we dropped, and I have to say, I was really nervous. We fought our way through some extremists before detonating some sort of nuke in a town. Apparently someone didn't tell the MEDEVAC that and they ended up getting caught up in the blast. Poor people, but I'm sure it was on accident. Anyways we had to clear out some remaining strong points of resistance and find our missing recon squad. After trudging about for a bit we found em! They were alive! While trudging about we got attacked by a large group of extremists. I think they had a sniper because our Corporal nearly got killed, luckily her armor saved her. I think I actually killed the sniper, as I shot at him and he disappeared. After that we evaced out after more searching. When we got back I got promoted to Private! I was pretty happy. Right after that I ran to the Engineering bay to get trained. Getting trained was pretty fun, got to use a plasma cutter to take apart and rebuild a box, got to use grenades and a carbine as well as some explosives and a Lizard Line Launcher. After training I was welcomed into my new family and handed Sapper patches. I just finished training so I think Ill head to the bar, or "Bah" as Red calls it.
