Centrix
Looc and You What is Looc you may ask? For the newer players Looc is, Local Out Of Character chat that can be used for people near you to see instead of using OOC, OOC being the global out of character chat for the entire server to see. So I know Looc is there for people to use to communicate when near each other for out of character reasons. But this does not mean you spam looc with useless stuff just to joke around with Like everything else on this server there is a time and place for everything. This below will explain when it is ok to use looc and when not to. When it is NOT ok to use Looc: -Breifings -Debriefings -Mission preperations in the dropships -training -RP situations Really to this, anytime others are roleplaying near you, you shouldn't be filling looc with stuff that is unnecessary or annoying to the players. If someone says "Cut looc" that means it is time to stop and get back In Character. When it is Ok to use Looc: -Asking questions -Fixing spelling errors -setting up training -communicating with admins -talking about ooc issues -low pop times, (Barracks, tech deck, hangar, anywhere) The main thing to know is, it is alright to use looc as long as it doesn't get out of hand. If you want to use looc go ahead but if you get out of hand or use it in a time where people are trying to roleplay then you need/should stop before people ask not when staff needs to step in. How not to handle Looc abuse: -Further extend the Looc abuse by disrespecting people, being rude, spamming looc -Take it to ooc -flame in chat How to handle Looc abuse: -Ask them to stop with a simple "Cut looc" or -ask staff to handle it If you use looc after being asked to stop you may be kicked, banned, slapped, whatever but Staff and other players do not want to hear your conversations when they are trying to roleplay.
