The AL-1 Bug detector

 

Basic  Description

The AL-1 Is a newly developer detector device designed to detect bugs by  tracking the Aranchid phenomeanom.It weights approximetly 18kgs and is worn on the back.It works by takking samples of air and then a built in computer procedes to analize the chemicals inside the air.After the computer analizes these chemicals and if all chemicals contained in the Aranchid phenomenom are preseant,It informs the user whith increased beeping based on how much of the chemicals are in the sample.To take samples of the air an air intake tube is pluged to the backpack and can be stored there when not in use.It poses an effective detection range of 3000m and when the wind is going in the users direction it can detect way more depending on how powerfull the wind is.The devices controls are remotly controled from the users PDA and it can show how much power it has left,if there are any errors it will try to report the error code in to the user PDA as well. It can also calculite the direct position of bugs and or bug holes.

 

How it looks

The AL-1 Is a backpack on the outside built out of the lightest but at the same time most resiliant materials posible.If used correctly no water snow or sands or any other objects shoudnt get past the cover of the device itself.However the insides are very fragile and only a small amount of water sand ice or other objects is enouch to deamege the device ore break it.On the right side of the backpack there is a sling to store the air intake tube there when not in use.The air intake tube works almost like a vaccum accept the tube is held in hands, When samples of air are taken it also sounds like a vaccum.A small Federation flag is othe top back of it.

How to use it.

 

Firstly make sure that the batteries have enouch power depending on how long the deploymeant is expected it is reccomended to recharge the batteries after each deploymeant.Fully repowering it if thebatteries are out of power takes approximetly 5 hours.Then turn on all the electronics systems using the remote control from your PDA if no errors are shown then the device is fully functional.

When you want to takes samples of air you undraw the intake tube aim it in the direction you want to scan after that flick the switch on the tube to start sucking the air.Once the samples are takken the diagnosis computer then analyzes it if it detects the aranchid phenomenom it will inform the user whith beeping and then attemp to calculate the exact position.The position calculation function only works if you have acceas to an XPBN  preseant that most capital ships have to scan the planet surface.
