Greetings,

While the Progenitor threat has been downsized considerably, it is foolhardy to believe they have been defeated. At this very moment, Progenitor forces still control half of Terra's continental territory. This absolutely cannot stand. So long as a single one of those monsters defiles our glorious Earth with their filthy presence, the Federation will never be free of shame.

The full reclamation of Terra remains the Federations top long term priority. The loss of Terra has been crippling to say the least. The combined industrial and agricultural production effects have brought the Federation to the verge of bankruptcy on it's own. Compounded further, the refugee crisis precipitated by the invasion has caused undo pressure upon our stellar colonies, pushing our ability to feed and provide for the people of our Federation to the limit.

As such, all available efforts have been directed towards liberation, immediate reconstruction and resettlement.

These efforts have been progressing smoothly in recent months. However, the recent despicable attempt on the Sky Marshall's life have greatly complicated this.

In the wake of the attack, Federal High Command has diverted most combat worthy vessels towards patrols and security of critical installations. This has left us with a  critical shortage of vessels with which to ferry troops, refugees and supplies to aid in our reclamation efforts.

Effective immediately, SICON has entered into cooperation with the Federal Transportation Authority to establish a procurement competition to secure the production of spacecraft capable of filling this operational gap in the most cost effective manner.

Vessels will need to be robust and capable of storage of large quantities of people and materials, as well as operation within a low to mid threat environment.

This initial procurement notice is available to all planetary governors for the purpose of initial bidding on the role.

Further details on the parameters and expectations of the procurement package will be delivered upon processing of the initial interest bid.

Let's make this as swift as possible and take back our home.

Glory to the Federation.

//This is a little idea I wanted to try out for possible greater integration between our progressing storylines and the politics aspect of our universe. This small competition will be oriented around the production of starcraft within a set budget for your planet at the most cost effective manner for the Federation. Values will be given to certain classes of vessel in the next installment of this mini-politics questline that will be used to build a bid that works for your planet's economy. For example, Larger more advanced vessels might have better capacity and performance, but will be more expensive to build and maintain, as well as take longer to construct. In this respect, it's possible for even a smaller production source to compete.

//If you are interested in taking part in this competition, place your bid interest in the comment section.

//The reward for a successful bid at the end of the competition is an increase in funding for your planet's economy, the boons of production and general bragging rights.

//Depending on how this goes, I may expand if further to include other production items, such as food and small arms.

Castus and Pollor put their bid down, representing Barnard's Star System.

While Castus and Pollor are gas giants, profits made from gas mining (which is all both planets do) allow the planets to roll out ship-building stations comfortably. Pollor would act more as a housing-unit, with six of eight stations around Pollor made solely for housing. These housing units are customized greatly, ensuring that they feel much like a home rather than a space station. This, combined with the steadiness of the economy around Barnard's Star System and a relatively safe location, make Castus and Pollor great for this.

Funding shouldn't be a problem.

Cassandra is behind the Federation!

The colony will send as much as it can in it's strategic reserve to assist the Federation to show the colony's appreciation for how much the Federation has assisted it in it's struggle against the arachnid threat.

Our strategic reserves of metal and and resources are vast and the transport ships we have will be at the Federation's disposal.
