[SCARVIS] Final Assault Preparations Underway!

Military Intelligence officials in charge of Scarvis movements reveal 'preparations for the final assault are now underway.'

 

 

"Just a few hours ago it was revealed my Military Intelligence official Lieutenant Marshall Chambers, the man in-charge and overseeing all operations on Scarvis and monitoring the Arachnid activity, that they are officially in final preparations to make their last assault against the Arachnid forces. As of now, almost ninety percent of the planet has been fought for and successfully taken back by the Mobile Infantry, thanks to the joint efforts between the 68th and 112th Infantry Battalion's, as well as an unknown group of individuals who seem set on reclaiming their home for themselves and freeing it from Federation control, given reports of the Mobile Infantry and another Human faction engaging in combat."

 

"This group of Human 'soldiers' seem to be a group calling themselves the 'Remnants of Scarvis', claiming to be the key to the reclamation of their home planet. Most people say they're just a bunch of teenagers with big egos, however there is believed to be lots of evidence linking them to many key assaults that took place over the past few months, securing our foothold agianst the bugs. They are well equipped, having looted many abandoned Mobile Infantry outposts, and have put their equipment to good use since then. There is still confusion as to whose side they really fight for, though it is highly recommended that any contact with the faction is to be reported to Federation Officials immediately."

"Here we see the 68th Infantry Battalion's famous Delta Company, their armour, nicknamed "Mjolnir's Mark", rolling out and preparing for the massive joint assault, still to be arranged, between the 68th and the 112th. Their main base of operations has been Sandblast Point, a remote and secluded, but very large military base on the edge of the desert. It is reported that the 68th's own Captain Jeffrey Collins, Jr. will be leading the charge against the bugs. Captain Collins' efforts have been remarkable throughout the Battle for Scarvis, having only been a Sergeant when it began, under his own father Staff Sergeant Jeffrey Collins, Sr. The 68th and much of Scarvis' population have grown to admire the Captain, having not backed one inch from the bugs since he set foot on the ground. Recent reports suggest he plans to stick by this, seeing the Battle for Scarvis through to the very end."
