Overview of Situation: The Master Specialist was in a sparring match with Sergeant Hartwick, sponsored by the Major. She was knocked out and her nose was broken. She showed signs of concussion, so was given tylenol for her pain and told to rest in the Medbay for one day.

Bi-Weekly Assessment; 112TH BN., A. CO., 1st MED BDE., 182ND DET

 

Medical Specialist:  Guy Larson

 

Supervisor: Grace Corbin

 

Specialist's Treatment log: Stabilized a maxillofacial wound caused by a cliffmite with basic gauze pads, ensuring no further damage was done to the head. 

Stabilized sergeant Lena Wells (Deceased) and gave her crucial time to make it back to the Grant for further medical treatment. She was demeaned un-treatable upon further examination of the extent of her organ wounds.

Stabilized a talon puncture with Celox gauze, ensuring the bleeding was stopped and the area debrided and disinfected.

 

Patient Outcomes: All patients stabilized on field, Wells was pronounced deceased days later, after being taken off life support. 

 

Time of Treatment:  3/XX/98

 

Overview of Situation: Third specialist Guy Larson showed resilience in the face of extreme peril, and excelled in his medical duties on-field. Duty becoming of a second specialist.

 

Course of Action: To be promoted to second specialist.

 

Additional Notes: Completed and excelled in hemorrhage control course, IV/fluids management course. Will proceed to complete airway management course shortly.

Overview of Situation: Holtz got up-closed by an arachnid and forced against a car. A talon entered his chest with moderate force, causing afforementioned rib damage and punctured lung. Was MEDEVACed and treated with help from 2Spc. Reece

Overview of Situation: New BT type requires observation so we can observe how it works and how the body adjusts to recieving new neurological signals.

Patient Injuries: 3 x non-critical shrapnel, 1 shrapnel near femoral artery, 1 shrapnel near heart, second degree burns with minor levels of third degree burns over half her body, broken left arm. Patient unconcious from M55 round going off near her. Moderate to severe concussion.
Patient Vitals: Moderate
Treatment / Care Provided: HEXTEND IV set, removal of 3 non-critical shrapnel during MEDEVAC, surgically removed two problematic pieces of shrapnel on ship. Burns treated, surgery completed to restore bone integrity in left arm. 
Time of Treatment: 22:20
Current Patient Status: Recovering, vitals improving. Will need extended recovery time.
Drugs Administered: TXA, general anaesthetics, HEXTEND IV, morphine drip post-op into saline IV drip
Overview of Situation: Recovery will take time, however second degree burns are unlikely to result in permanent scarring with immediate care provided. Arm expected to fully recover. Patient needs to stay in medbay for medical surveillance for several days to ensure concussion recovery goes smooth.
