Homeworld: Shore-Ridge III
Alignment: Neutral Good
Hair color: Strawberry blonde hair
Eye color: Blue/gray

Height: 1.67 m

Weight: 62.37 kg
Build: Mesomorph
Rank: Master Specialist

Character Description:

A fair-skinned woman with soft facial features and strawberry blonde hair. She most definitely has more to her eyebrows than her face claim might suggest. Her actions seem rehearsed and precise at times; While other times they're lax and calmed. Sanguine or phlegmatic expressions often anoint her face. She speaks with an accent reminiscent of Minnesotans. She touts a bullish voice, and medical fatigues.

Characteristics:

Confident, enthusiastic, blood thirsty combat medic. On the ship, she's happy and enthused with her work, with a caring, motherly overtone to her work and speech. With her service, came salty grave digger's humor, some sarcasm ingrained in her work and banter. During hard times, Corbin is prone to bouts of irritability, but her normal demeanor is reinforced by the successes of her company. On deployments, she's a ruthless, steady-handed combat medic, concerned only with the safety of her fellow trooper and the successful completion of the mission. She might be a bit overconfident sometimes.

Attributes:

A well built, rugged trooper. She developed muscles from hauling bodies and speed from dodging bugs. Her mental fortitude is built upon hard learned lessons and tragedy, which can be spotted through her sanguine and stoic expressions. Her medical skill is exceptional, having developed her skills in the flames of combat.

Backstory:

Spoiler

Grace was born to a strict parental unit that adhered to the most principle tenants of citizen life. Her childhood was that of attempted discipline and natural rebellion. Her parents were tough on her, but this was a tough love. She was unhappy in her forced situation. It wasn't as if her family was hateful or poor, her parents simply wished to instill the civic values they learned through years of hard service. After the dissolution of their own company due to a near complete wipe of personnel during a failed operation, they met each other and instantly decided to retire to Shore-Ridge III, away from much of the chaff and business of more industrial states.

Grace was sent to the Balakitane Institute for Gifted Pupils, one of the very few Federal institutes for learning on their side of Shore-Ridge III. It's main purpose was to encourage the populace and growing youth to serve. It was a relatively new establishment considering the record low turn out for service, so it was positioned near the capital of S.C. 1. Her family did not live in the capital, merely on the outskirts in a modest dwelling. The entire family unit was expected to pull their own weight: hunt for food, forage, collect firewood, maintain the home, clean, cook, etc. Grace was reluctant to follow these duties, as if an air of rebellion was permanently brewed inside her. This general unease towards others, strange mannerisms, and intellect made her mother in particular believe her to have some form of psychic aptitude as she did; However, after numerous failed and near passing tests in the Balakitane Institute, she was declared inept. This caused a burnout in Grace, and only furthering her rebellious state. As she grew older, she continued her attendance in the Institute with stellar marks. However, she was in a constant state of unease towards her family unit, and this led her to mingle with the wrong mix in the regions beyond her home. The last few years before she entered service was almost tragic; a blackout amalgamation of drinking and drugs, scarring her liver and inducing psychosis for a short period of time.

She was evaluated by the Institute and declared fit for service, and she was set off to basic, cold-turkey from both her major vices. This began her steady ascent and acknowledgement of the civic duties she's been skirting all prior years, and the true meaning of Citizenship...

The message cuts off promptly, as if the file was corrupt. The file is slowly defragmenting and fixing itself...

Corporal Roki 'Serb' Bosanac MMC

████████

A Serbian fellow with a few wonderful opinions. I can talk about shit wit' him. He's smart, articulate, and a decent leader. I think he could get bumped, if we weren't flooded wit' NCOs already. Hope he's doin' okay...

----

He picked me as 2ic, and I did my duties! And lead! Good, even! According to Roki, at least.. Swear, we would lead great together. Ponosna hrabra Garda se rodila! His concert though, was a whole 'nother level! I had the lovely privilege of being drunk during it, witnessing his full Yugoslavian pride. Absolutely powerful. I gotta listen to more serb-turbofolk, it's the shit that will bring me outta this funk. Glory to Tito's Dream.

----

Truly a comrade I would lay my life down for. He's worrying me with some of his comments, but I'd sooner dive on a grenade than let him die from the blast. Part of the new sickbay gang that formed, fun bunch of people, really. They talk mad esoteric-like, spewing weird, archaic histories and philosophies, him n' Goose especially. It's a lovely sight to behold.

----

Stupid man, don't die. I'm sorry Raske came back to haunt you too... At least you never knew him. I hope it didn't hit you too hard, at least you stopped me from doin' something majorly dumb before he grabbed you. I owe you.

----

The Ghost that follows us around. Truly a sight to behold, spirit in the flesh, flesh as the spirit. He went on leave a few days, and I'm excited to see him back.

----

Stop gettin' hurt! Fuck! Is it too much to ask!? Stay safe for me!

----

I'll be back soon, please don't fret, my friend.

Sergeant Tatsuo 'Fingers' Okazaki MM

████████

The sergeant! He sorta replaced Hartwick as the main sergeant in this platoon. I enjoy him more than other NCOs, and I hear he climbed to his rank pretty fast. That usually shows something about his character and skills, especially when I see some terminal privates n' lances out there. The ambien I prescribed will hopefully help with his loss. Godspeed.

----

Brain Damage n' Fingers. Power duo. Absolutely crushed blue team, bar none. I enjoy talking to him, he's doing really well -- Shit, now I gotta knock on wood... But really, a nice dude to talk to, professional as an NCO too. doesn't take shit. Hope we can keep talkin'.

----

Thanks for lettin' me know, shows somethin' about your morals, and I respect that.. But Jesus...

----

I would stand with you till I die. Good thing that day wasn't today. Thanks for trustin' me, hope I didn't let you down. He kept us alive in awful situations how many times now? A great leader, a great friend.

----

Thanks for lettin' me lead! I won't let you down, nor the troopers, if I ever get the chance in the future to lead! He gave that strip to Roki, and it just made my heart flutter! Two friends I couldn't be without, though Zaki can be a bit of a shitter sometimes, aren't we all?

----

Welcome to the robotics club. Erhart did well on you, didn't he? Glad you're finally back in action, stay outta the bay unless you're comin' to chill, please.. I'm glad we had the talk wit' Emmett 'n Tidbit, and I hope it didn't make shit awkward.. I just needed to figure it out! I hope I'm makin' the right decision...

----

I'm so sorry you witnessed true glory in the form of that Forest Fire, but it was literally glorious. How I didn't get shit-canned? Who knows. Even colonel Ziola took pity on me, as with Shaw. I'm beyond lucky and I should count my stars. I'm glad we're friends -- More than that, family. We've been through the shit, and I wouldn't have it with anyone else. Battle-buddies till we die.

----

Don't die while I'm gone, or I swear, I will kill you. Please...

Colonel Robert Shaw

████████

I'm a fucking moron, but you had my back. I respect the fuck out of you for that. It might be biased, but... You don't care about image, you care about facts. That takes some balls, especially as a colonel for a lowly master spec.. Can't repay you, but.. I'll try?

Grzegorz 'Goliath' Brzęczyszczykiewicz MM

Holy fuck, this man is terrifying but so calming at the same time. He's got the soul of a teddy bear and the strength of a full grown grizzly bear, and it's beautiful, but probably equally terrifying.. I sure hope he doesn't hit me if I ever gotta fix him, cuz it'll hurt, goin' through all that muscle..

----

The biggest, friendliest man I've ever met. He's basically the sickbay marine, and I couldn't be happier. He's been surprisingly hard to hit, for the enemy. Probably scared to shoot the big guy. Hope it stays that way.

----

Big friendly ---... Haven't been able to talk to him much, or be too kind to him.. I feel bad, but there's been a lot goin' on recently.. I hope he understands.

----

Don't worry about me.

Staff Sergeant Aaron 'Dad' Holtz

█████

A man I can respect for his service. Have not seen the most attentive nature from him, but I can't fault him for that. He's pleasant to talk to, which is admirable for a salty vet.

----

I hope you get better.

Lance Corporal Steven 'Half-court' Hartcourt

████████

Bonded on the same drop wit' me and Cocaite! That's how you start off on a right note. I love findin' more people with good humor, especially in a place like the 112th...

----

A nice friend, a decent ass leader. I hope to see him climb the ranks alongside my friends.

----

Damn.. You got fucked up...

----

I know Erhart will take care of you.

Corporal Noemi 'Tidbit' Rosangela

████████

Wow.. Talk about startin' off on a bad note.. I've never spoken to her before today, and it was electrifying, to say the least. I've most certainly noticed her before (see moniker), it's kinda hard not to, unless you're in crowd of people.. I hope she doesn't dislike me over this, I didn't know, and it's unfair for her. She seems nice.

----

She really cares about Okazaki, jus' wish that oaf saw it! He's goin' after some fleetie, whatever.. Tidbit seems very nice, wish I could talk to her more often, get to know her, actually be friends wit' her after that whole thing..

----

Oh, gosh.. I'm so sorry! I-I.. Didn't forget about you --... I mean, I guess I did.. But... I tried! Agh.. I hope she doesn't mind, she looked so cute and sad in that position, oh God, I felt so bad!

----

A sweet, adorable, tough-as-nails trooper. I'd say it's incredible she survived this long, but her skills show for themselves. Glad we got to talk more -- Just wish... This flock of people stopped following me, so I can actually learn a thing or two about you!

----

Thanks for bearing with my shitty ranting. You're real sweet. I wish I didn't push that on you, but oh gosh, you're so kind.

----

Don't stress.

Private Kendall Florian

████████

Like an alligator stalks its prey, he fuckin' got me. Guess that says somethin' about how fun he can be. I should get to know him more!

Corporal Fredrick Stokes

████████

He does his job, he shoots them bugs, nothin' much to complain about there. Feel bad for him, though, he obviously felt the death of Morello.. It's a shame, I hope he can get over his loss.

Corporal Lowell Hartwick

███████

Can't say I remember much about him.. Time passes here way too fuckin' quick.

Master Specialist Cait 'Cocaite' Donovan MM

████████

Damn fun wasp. I can count on her to appreciate my banter, and I appreciate her's. She got a knack for blowin' shit up, was a medic once, too! She's a traitor, but I like the drive she has to help around where she can. Fun fun fun! We celebrated her birthday with some others and had a nice time. I truly hope I can keep talking to her.

----

We'll help you, Cait. You're master specialist already! I believe you can help yourself out a little, kick the habit. Rootin' for you, spec' gang woot woot.

----

Master spec' gang, woot woot. Doin' wonders, Cait, keep it up.

----

Focus on your duty.

Specialist Seraphine 'Sunny' Von Strattmann

████

One of the Strattmann's that arrived a few weeks ago. She went to the wasps, her brother with us in medical. I got her some biotechs while she was third spec, hope she can appreciate that for what it is. Glad she's still alive 'n kickin', another good boomer.

----

I can't imagine what she's goin' through.. I'm incredibly glad she confided in me, and I truly believe she can get better.. For herself, for her brother, for the preservation of human lives.. She's a kind, professional soul, and that, especially in engineering is incredible to find. Of course, not to say all wasps are bad, she's jus' a bit different.

----

Siblings of a different caliber.. All I hear from her is, 'I couldn't protect him', while he's hollering about protecting her the whole time.. Just have each others backs, please. I can't imagine what you saw, but stick to your brother and you'll live many years. Talented duo, different specialties.

----

Back up. Back at it. I'll be ready to talk.

----

That's adorable, and I love seeing you that happy. You deserve it. I pray you continue this pace. You will go far. Good luck with Miller, Sunny.

----

A kind, beautiful natured friend. Miller brought it out in you, and for that, I'm grateful. I'm glad you can feel at home in the bay.

----

Stay strong, for me.

Second Specialist Hecle 'Phanny Pack' Phan MM

██████

A decent private, kickin ass n takin names in that TDM. Helped me receive my nickname, too! Hope to keep him alive n kickin’.

----

Leave my medic alone!

----

Just like every trooper, he has some issues.. But, I'm glad I was able to talk to him. He can give me a good laugh, and he's not too bad as an engineer. That isn't sayin' a lot, but I respect them for blowin' the fuck outta everything 'n anything.

----

A bright, kind, talented chef. I like seein' him bobbin' about, and I'm glad he's with us in the bay, most times. Better than the engi-bay, I'll tell ya' that. Kid got his knees popped by some talons, nasty business.. Glad I was able to get him on his feet real fast.

----

Cook for the moral.

Specialist Attichat Saiphan

██████

Simply a wasp. He does a good job, doin' the big boom. On par with Hecle, or... I don't know, they're both Hella decent.

Sergeant Maxine 'Maxi-Pad' Valentine

███████

She's a corporal... Can't say much other than that -- She's decent at her job! That's somethin', but then again, I feel like it'd be hard to suck at your job if it were blowing shit up.. Heh.. Nothin' bad to say.

----

Got sergeant. Nice.

3Spc. Alessandro Noviello

███████

One of the many new engineers in the bay. Seems like a good dude.

Second Lieutenant Amanda Winters

████████

What's your deal? Try and pass OCS this time, sweetie. It ain't that hard.

Colonel Emily Ziola

████████

You're giving me a chance.. You scared the fuck out of me, and had fun with it. Respectable, showing me that maybe some of the upper echelon is human.. Thank you, I don't know how I can express it more, but thank you..

Specialist Shane 'Straw-man' Emmett MM

██████

Kind of a jerk, but in a cute way. Am I into those type of boys? Oh God, what am I even sayin'. He's kind. We talked 'bout some neat stuff on R-n-R -- God that was a fun little get-away. One of the friendlier guys around the platoon, with a sense of humor still maintained. He's helpin' me out with that Thing, hopefully my head can rid itself of it. I see him in the bay more often.. What's'it mean...

----
Ohp.. Should'a seen that one comin'. Well, he's helpin' wit' that Thing -- Though, Moon really hit it on the nail today... Him n' Roki, really shape out to be some great friends, and I couldn't be more content with that. Gave me my nickname, too! Let's fuckin' hope I can keep that Thing away.

----

Hahahaha,dfagssgdsss.... What?? It's way too fuckin' early to think about this.

----

Literally what do I say or do? I'm such a dummy.

----

Still so very lost. I need to get these dummies together to have a nice talk... I care for him, I really do, and he cares for me.. I'll take fighting a bug horde over dealing with emotions any day of the week. I hope things can just work out, though...

----

I really wanna believe you.. Shits tough right now, my head hurts, I think I might need you.. Why'd service jus' start gettin' hard?

----

At least this is all sorted now.. I have been very tired the past week. It's been too much.

----

You know I'm here.. You know I'll live...

Third Specialist Madeline 'Sums' Summers

████████

Gah, what the fuck? Psychics have an uncanny ability to make shit confusing! I really don't know where to begin.. I guess she can begin six years back wit' me.. But, she helped me -- Helped us! Without her, we might've died on that fuckin' roof, I might've lost my mind on that god damn station! All this happened way too soon, and I need to figure out what the fuck I'm feeling.

Glad you're staying...

----

She's definitely staying. My head is swirling with the events of the last few days, and I feel like I've had a passenger in my mind view it all with me. I can't shake this feeling, and I can't even begin to describe it, either. Psychics are a heap of fucked shit. At least the 34th was tangible. At least life used to be tangible. Now, the Abstract breaks off into fragments of spiraling light, jabbing razors into my brain whenever it sees fit. My subject was unfolded and placed upon slides of a projection, cracking facades constructed from turmoil of soul. All those years, sling shot straight back into my thoughts. This was not a mistake. She belongs with us, and I hope I can know her as well as she knows me.

----

That time was different. That wasn't like the first time, nor the second. Nor was it like the other entities bursting into my conscious. Psychics have hurt me, beyond belief, but she's also helped me, beyond belief. There aren't words to describe how they work, but the mind is much larger than I thought. It's like.. A vast expanse, a playground for your mental energy.. I have no idea what I feel, and this is only confusing me more and more. But at least I'm back to normal, as normal as I can be.. Ever since that fuckin' algae, nothin' has been the same... I miss the 34th. But, I suppose this is where fate is pushing me.

----

Thanks for helpin', I guess..

----

I have no idea what Nejem told you, but... I.. I don't even know, I suppose.. I need to be done with psychics, I can't handle the mental burden.. Life is a trip, and psychics are the triple dosed tabs..

----

I'll be back to apologize.

Spoiler

Senior Specialist Erhart 'Runt' Von Strattmann MM

███████

The first of the newest batch of medics. He only came in a bit after I did, but.. That's just where the experience takes ahold. He's eager, and he's learning well, and I love it. I feel kinda bad for namin' him Runt, but he'll grow into the new one that he earns. I hope I can keep teaching him, get him some pure confidence in his moves.

----

Just like Larson, I see the promise in him expanding. He's gettin' good at what he does! That doesn't mean it's gettin' any easier... He's developing that 'mother-syndrome' bullshit every good medic develops once in their career. We are responsible with their lives, we just need the confidence to hold that responsibility without issue.. He'll get there.

----

For your sister, stay strong.. For me, stay strong, and most importantly -- For us. You two are more than this. You are here, you are now. Show us what you're made of!

----

Like sister like brother. Focus forwards.

----

I'm gonna be entrusting you, very soon. I need to train you more, but oh God, look how much you've grown! I'm proud of your effort.

----

Do not fuckin' let me down! Do NOT! I don't expect you will, considering how well you've been doing. But still! I worry like a mother --... Jesus, fuck. I'm starting to act like my mom...

----

I knew I could trust you. The first day out, you proved you had it in you. You're doing so well. I need you to help me with medical, and I know you can. You're learning so fast! Jesus, I can't express my gratitude I have towards you, you being my friend, being able to trust all my medics... It's such a surreal feeling, something I never had the hopes of in the 34th.

----

Take care of them while I'm gone.

Warrant Officer Ayvaco 'Saint' Moon

████████

I'm not sure what to say... God, rationality departs sometimes, and she slapped me in the face with it. For that, I am grateful. Fuck that Thing, I can beat it. It's bigger than me, but let's root for the underdog, okay? God, I am so violently grateful for what she said,.

----

Funny fucker.

----

Friend? I'll take that. You and Falco are odd, but I'm catching on, I suppose. I hope your path leads you to the place you're meant to be, chopping aliens and staring to the stars.

Warrant Officer Aryyn 'Philo' Falco

████████

Strange, strange woman... Power duo with Moon. Funny, served too long, yet fewer years than me. Strange...

Specialist Guy Larson MM

████████

Thank fuckin' God you survived. You're the catalyst for all this, but it ain't your fault. It's that fuckin' algae's. I was so proud n' happy when I saw you on your feet, the 112th nev'r fuckin' give up, do they?

----

Larson's a funny Texan man, does his work and clocks out to participate in the banter. Sick bay gang.

----

Good banter. The new second floor will be givin' me some stupid memories for some time, with this banter gang in there.

----

Keep it together.

Specialist Gwendolyn Reece MM

████████

A cute little frazzled medic. She seems to have her shit together, which is reassuring! Got roped into a weird situation yesterday with a lieutenant colonel and a man far too old to be a recruit... She seems alright.

----

Has odd spats with Roki about Islam and the Balkans.. All the more reason I love these people now.

----

Violently philosophical. We should chat in that lounge when I'm not brain dead! God, what a great bunch of medics!

----

Keep it together.

Specialist John Harlesda MM

████████

Gave him the proper 112th welcome, having to treat him for his first drop wit’ us. Part of the new face of medics, of which I’m not complaining. Ready to learn and save some lives!

----

Much like the rest of the newbies... He's learnin' 'n gettin' much better. I love seein' this crazy shit. I hope they keep it up, in training and on-field.

----

He proved his worth in that surgical bay with Roki.

----

Keep it together.

Third Specialist Maxwell DeVries MM

████████

Similar to Miller, I like how he actually does his job! It's nice to have these fresh, eager faces around. I hope they last, though, especially through my training sessions, ugh.. I gotta get better at those.

----

Our resident Brooklynite. I love it, he's pretty fuckin' funny. That accent is some sorta gold.

----

Talked to Winters -- Hope you can get your hands 'doity' with the grease of engineering soon.

----

Keep it together.

Specialist Christopher Miller

████████

A quiet medic who does his job. He has a few funny moments, and he's a pretty calming presence for some reason. Nice kid.

----

Awh... Him 'n Sunny! It's adorable! Don't die, or I'll kick your ass beyond the grave. Sunny deserves someone nice like you. Stay alive for her, and keep her alive, please!

Second Specialist Wendy Goodwin

███████

A medic I haven't seen in action quite just yet. She went AWOL on my training, but I really don't blame her I suppose. It was funny to see how she reacted to that weird banter, but I feel bad for her!

As with Lupi, a very nice, well spoken fleetie. She had a little verbal scuffle with Summers in the bay -- That psychic really needs to hold her tongue -- but she wasn't all too fazed, I think. At least she said. I like her presence, I hope she sticks around and meets the medbay mafia, I think she'd like some of them. The Polynesian crewman with her... Absolute legend. I should catch his name..

----

A fleetie I can safely call a friend. Starting to confide in her is nice, and I appreciate the time I can spend with her. Her professionalism is a shock, from our time on Iskander, but it's reassuring. Professional when it needs to be professional, fun when it's time to have fun. I should value her input more.

NOTE: Needs food for her sanity.

----

Ahh! What'd you say! What the heck! Whatever --.... I'd prefer you over a psychic, I suppose. You're kind, and uh.. I definitely stared when your uniform was soaked. Sorry. Fleet stay fit too, I guess. You, Setu, Lupi are joyous to be around. Your advice is straight and to the point, something I might struggle with but.. Honesty is always appreciated. Thanks for callin' me friend.

----

Don't worry your pretty head off.

Second Petty Officer Alvaro 'Lupi' Lupinacci

████████

The friendly face a fun fleetie. The likeness of Nejem -- Counterpart, rather? I like them both, and they opened my eyes to the fleet. I may actually like some of these upper class fucks after all.

----

The Italian prince. I love his accent, and the small squad they have set-up are all the fleeties I could ask for.

----

Feel free to stay in the bay.

Third Petty Officer Rangi Setu

█████

One of their crew. Appreciated for his Polynesian ways. Absolute unit. The stoic, veteran presence is the gang of Fleet.

Lance Corporal Weston 'MC Mac' MacDonnell

Kinda like me, except much more positive, he definitely boosts moral on the field. Shame I missed karaoke night.. But uh, I think he brought it to the bay, so that was a proper treat!

----

Oh, Mac.. Too soon, you were so cheerful.. That's such a fuckin' shame..

Petty Officer Sierra Blackburn

Iunno what to think of you just yet. Maybe I'm just salty everyone else seems to like you. Iunno. Being a medic sucks sometimes.

----

Where'd you go?

Spoiler

A screen is capturing the familiar face of a medic, situated in the back of the medical bay, in a square office space. She begins slowly, her expression worn yet hopeful, eyes shining through with a sanguine nature...

"It's captivating, to watch the human spirit fight for what it has. It's devastating to see that spirit falter and die. I've seen all the former and none of the latter thus far. I pray it continues."

Grace pauses to collect her words, a soft strain apparent in her speech.

"Ever since the dissolution of the 34th, transferring here.. It's been difficult. The 112th is no stranger to a tough fight -- Unwinnable fights, less oft than not. The psychic anomalies are most definitely the worst part of this new assignment.. The 34th dealt in tangible terrors. A mop up crew like no other... I know you'll be old enough to listen to these soon, lil' Dag. I miss you. Keep studying, keep listenin' to mom 'n dad for me! Or you'll end up like your big sister here, stuck in the mud of it all! You'll make a fine captain of a ship one day."

She shifts again, trying to get herself situated for her next topic...

"Maybe you're psychic, even. God knows mom wanted me to be one. Wonder how many tests she'll have you do? Three? Four? Hope it doesn't burn you out like it did me."

She glowers to the camera for a few moments, taking a deep breath to cool the anger from her demeanor

"Say 'hi' to mom for me, dad."

Corbin shifts to the computer, an uneasy expression present over her usual temperate nature. The screen zips to black, the log terminating.

The video feed flickers to life in an unfamiliar environment. Grace is in the foreground, a stoic marine positioned behind her by a solid door.

The woman's face is twisted and uncomfortable, her body tense and slumped. She speaks softly.

"They let me keep an audio log, at least. I told them it'd help. I don't even know... The point of this, for myself, even.. It'll probably get redacted as soon as one of those spooks touch it, anyway.."

She seems to be grasping at words, unable to form a strong series.

"I hope they're not too worried.. Winters --... God, Winters.. Why the fuck she want my head so bad all of a sudden? I get it, I did something stupid, but who the fuck did I hurt?! You acted as if I shot your firstborn!"

A clear vitriol is present in her tone, yet she cools herself for the moment.

"I wonder what my parents would think -- Mom, same as ever. I'm being a brat. Dad? He'd probably give me a hug, tell me it'll be alright.. That's all I need right now. But, instead I'm gonna be getting my daily dose of psychic therapy for the next... Who knows how long -- Till I'm 'better'. It's not a feeling I like to feel -- I'm unwell. This shit has everything to do with those bullshit op's, the psychic fuckery. It isn't fair. I didn't ask for it -- I swear it has something to do with my tests. I wouldn't... I wouldn't be seein' the fuckin' dead if it didn't!"

Grace practically yelps out the last sentence, huffing in defiance to the unseen assailant.

"That cunt follows me around, latched into my brain like a parasite. It's deep, the same depth I felt in the Institute. Vile, putrid, amorous intoxication of my psyche."

A stoic expression resides on her face as she speaks, before disgust lines the crevices of her expression.

"Fucking lying pieces of shit press. Where in Gods name were they?"

The marine behind Grace gives a firm command, and the medic begrudgingly obliges. She leans forward, tapping the keys once. The screen zips to black.
