FEDERAL FLEET

Shu-Wei Zhang -- The Master Chief. I'll admit I was surprised but only slightly. She understands it all- Maybe if I were older- were she younger. They say age is merely a number but... there's significantly more variables to it. The void of losing family leaves? It wouldn't be right and fill it.

 

Roskana Nejem -- Nothing is going to change the fact that I appreciate Nejem's presence and professional expertise but- There's just something about it all that just unsettles me. I mean I saw what others didn't from early. Every time I just assumed all the people she had about would put it in check but... that never came about. I should've known better. We're the same to an extent but she's too in her own head. Despite being genuinely concerned, I never try to console her. In a way, I enabled her. Sad. Same person to supposedly love and complete her does nothing but break her down.

 

Jeremy Nash -- An incredibly odd man that manages to juggle the life of a superior and a genuine crazy cousin without issue. I don't even understand at this point. He's effective yet loose. How I never bumped into a personality like this on the Sephton is beyond me.

 

Alvaro Lupinacci -- We've gone down a long road. Man's no longer dropping supposed knowledge bombs on me anymore and I'm not looking to choke him out on a daily. I've come to appreciate him more like a brother than anything else. He's not Infantryman but he can hold his own any day of the week. I'd have no qualms fighting through a suck with him again. Glad to see him rise.

 

Carson Sawyer -- A very masculine sounding name for a not very masculine person. As a combat aviator there's no doubt she's capable. She does overstep at times- but that's to be expected who does their best to take initiative and sort issues before they pile up. She's good to the people around me, cares for them. We personally don't talk much and I'm okay with that.

 

Paul Imperius -- Imperius is a great guy. Nothing is too menial, no task is too tough. Ask him to do and he'll get it done. Enjoying himself every step of the way. How I never saw this man during my short time on the Sephton? I don't know. Wish I had.

 

Paul Schimdt -- I have never.... felt so fucking compelled to punch another man in the face more than Chief Schimdt. Sure he's a tough nut and part of me gets it, guy wants to make sure his men known their place and that they're either in it fully or not at all, but if he goes about questioning his subordinate like that again he'll start some shit for sure.

 

MOBILE INFANTRY

Aaron Holtz -- Having stood in his shoes, walked the miles and stomped the stomps, there's not much I don't get about him. I can relate to everything he feels. Wondering if your relationships on the edge- never knowing if you're really in a good spot. People looking to you for guidance at every point- even though you yourself don't know what to say but you find the resolve to eat the shit and look confident. Staff Sergeant Holtz's a good man with a good head but he takes on too much. He's no fresh face but he's still yet to  grip the fact that he doesn't need to be the first in line to sort out everyone's problems.

 

James Reacher -- For a person I don't actually talk to past five words- Hey, how's it going. Good.- I respect Reacher a lot. I don't really know what he's like as a trooper but he took his licks and shrugged them off. Ate shit and smiled. Now serving alongside the very same people who strung him up and broke skin. That is a level of loyalty to ones peers I appreciate. 

 

The Greg --  As much as I said I don't like Greg, he grew on me. Still don't really like him but I can't knock his ability to just... be oblivious to the fat shit sandwiches everyone else seems to eating and carry on.

 

Jeremey Hawkins -- A family man. There's not much to it. These're the men who will put in the most to get out the most. They've things in life worth fighting for a thousand times over. I don't doubt his capabilities, having fought alongside him on numerous occasions I know he can do the job, but I'd just hate to see another good trooper bite the dust. There wouldn't be anyone to listen to my bullshit on the range and keep it decidedly casual.

 

Ajax Drivas -- A good soldier and even better man it seems. Does the job and does it without a second thought but manages to keep a handle on something that grounds him. A proper... well oiled relationship. I genuinely envy every man and woman who can do that. He's a hard-man but a friendly type, a maturer one who can hold a conversation on some softer subjects. We don't talk much but when we do it's... refreshing.

 

Nikora Tamati -- Seeing another person like myself is a fucking rarity. It's like running into a brother you never you had- We're not close, definitely not close but he's a guy I want to know. He's easy going and just always looks happy, polar opposite of myself which makes me slightly envious. 

 

Chuck Lewis -- I don't really know Lewis, I never saw him before the ship went down and I'm sure the guy's from a different battalion- motherfucker's a lucky one. Either way this guy's solid. He was scared but never broke, never complained and took post without a second thought. One helluva first drop.

 

Rodrick Oakwood -- From a simple cleancut recruit to a bearded mess of a combat veteran. Oakwood's gone far, lost bits and pieces on the way like all us who've stepped off and romped. Nothing but props. Still a kid but he's got the mind of a geezer. I like him. I trust and expect him to his job. Hopefully that Engineer keeps him on a sound path, god knows I wish I kept that. 

 

THOSE LOST

Gareth Nyman -- In a way I envy him. Got to go down with the ship, fully assured in his last actions as Captain. I don't doubt the actuality would've crushed him. I shouldn't've left him to go down on that bridge alone, I wanted to protest but I knew better. Nyman was a good Captain and a better man than me.

 

Shane Emmett -- I never spoke to him much, when I did it was usually just me talking- No worries, I wasn't really a fan of poddies but he stuck through hard times just to get shit on by a power tripping MP. It's not right.

 

Grace Corbin -- Being in our situation has given me more than enough time to think and wonder about the little things. Looking back at it, Corbin wasn't bad at all. Dedicated. Funny and hyper-outgoing to the point where I thought she was actually crazy. I don't why I didn't see it then, but- it was kinda attractive in a way. If you're not dead, I hope you live a good life. You're were a lucky one.

 

Robert Jackson -- I liked Jackson, he was young and didn't look much like a trooper- but he was capable. It's always the good ones who go first. Guy shouldn't've been stuck in this shitter. Damn shame that got killed before he could ever see redemption. We'll get it done for him. For all them. 

 

Ricky Red -- It's unfortunate they ended up dead but I'm not surprised. Red was the biggest fucking idiot I've ever met. Personally? I know I would've beat their ass in boot just to make sure they washed out - She had no place in the Federation- but they're dead now, so I can't really berate them too tough without being an asshole.
