The 112th mobile infantry battalion, under the 28th Mobile Infantry Regiment, which has been accused of betraying the Federation when they attacked Dantana - crossing the AQZ! This was seen as a great act of treachory upon the federation, starting the third bug war, ending a long peace. The 112th creaped towards the planet, on what they believed to be a routine scouting mission. They carefully approached with their load hunkering ship, the AFC-BC 292 Grant, which soon arrives, however crashing into the surface. Bugs are then seen swarming the ship as it crash lands, allerting the villianous swarm to their presence. The 112th are then stranded on this hostile planet, as they scuttle to defend their lives, and honour - through couragous acts, they hold their own against all odds. Meanwhile, the Federation receives news of their arrival, the Federation believes the 112th have gone rogue, and attacked the planet themselves! This is seen as treachery by the Federation, who scramble to resolve the situation and protect you, citizen! The Federation soon ensures a swift victory over the bugs, allowing the 112th to retreat from their certain death. The 112th are later stood trial for their actions, at which Lt Espinoza is shot, and several members of the battalion were discharged. However, they have one piece of evidence, securing the remainder of the battalions sanctity for their failed mission, the black box, received from the AFC-BC 292 Grant This confirms the Sky Marshall ordered the scouting mission, however the 112th failed to act appropriately in remaining silent! One soldier had this to say "We were attacked from all sides, man! They were everywhere, and they just kept coming! We didn't know what we were up against. But we slaughtered those bugs, and we made them crawl back to the caves they came from, we aren't traitors, we just did what we had to do!" The members of the court, however, disagree - as fault for this war certainly rests on the 112ths shoulders, and they have a debt they must repay to the Federation, to you, Citizen! The 112th will repay their debt to the Federation with bug blood, as they are to be redeployed to the AQZ shortly. Upon the news, one soldier had this too say: "I love killing bugs, the Federation will always watch over us, we're just trying to help the federation in any way we can, and if that means going back, we sure as hell will!" The 112th returns to the AQZ, to finish what they have started, and remember soldiers, it's always a good day to die! And remember, service - garuntees citizenship!
